Smart Apartments
Redefining What Is Possible
As research and technology advance for those who are rehabilitating from neurological injury, the opportunity for accelerating recovery will require flexible spaces and a relentless willingness to learn, innovate, and create a new future for clients that focuses not only on physical recovery, but social and emotional well-being.
However, it is often the case that a client has reached the point where they no longer need, or insurance will no longer pay for, the intense inpatient therapy that will lead to the best outcomes. These individuals must either remain in an inpatient setting to continue receiving specialized treatment, or be discharged home and begin a rehabilitation program that does not truly fill their needs.
About the Program
Experience the future of independent living. Our Smart Apartment program empowers individuals recovering from neurological illness or injury to regain essential life skills in a support, simulated home environment. Designed with cutting-edge technology and fully accessible features, the apartment offers a safe and adaptive space for learning how to navigate everyday tasks including cooking, self care, mobility, and home management.
Equipped with voice-activated controls, automated lighting and doors, adaptive kitchen and bathroom fixtures, this innovative living space bridges the gap between inpatient rehabilitation and real-world independence. Participants receive guided training from experienced rehabilitation professionals while customizing their routines to fit personal goals and challenges.
